Women Wellness is an extremely important and necessary topic to talk about. And, as a beginner in the field, I thought of getting an expert guest on my blog to have a conversation with her.
Hello you guys, I hope you all are well.
You all have been giving me immense love on all my blogs. This time it is a little different. I have a guest on my blog and I hope you will not disappoint her.
So, go ahead to read our amazing conversation and let Kelle know that she is sharing her wisdom with the right people by dropping your thoughts in the comments as soon as you end the read.
Hi Kellee, Would you like to introduce yourself to my readers?
Hello there, I am Kellee Williams and I am a Lifestyle Management Coach. I am from Cleveland, Ohio and I help women all over the world live the life that they desire and deserve. I am like so many of the women that I help. I am a mom, a sister, a wife, and a business owner. And, I’m an advocate for holistic women’s wellness.
When did you decide that you should be a Lifestyle Management Coach?
I had been coaching for over 20 years, unofficially. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer and for many years I called myself a Lifestyle Management Coach when I began to see that much of how I helped wasn’t with the physical alone. I took an interest in helping these women with mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. I officially went into business as a coach last year in October.
Your Ig bio says, “in love with Jesus”. How would you explain that?
I grew up being taught about the teaching of Jesus and fell deeply in love with them. I live my life to be an example of love, peace, kindness, and grace….just like Jesus the man. Much like I am in love with my husband, everything I do is an effort to please and honor the Jesus I have come to know and believe in.
What is the motto of your life? Also, what is your mission statement?
Wow, that’s a great question. My motto is to live the life you desire and deserve and my mission statement would be to live in a way that encourages others to find, peace, hope, love, and joy in all the experiences life hands over to us. I believe that to achieve optimal women’s wellness, one must be able to see life as an opportunity to shine brightly.
Would you like to throw some light on your e-book “Today’s setup for tomorrow’s win”?
Yes, that book was a long time coming. Many people ask me how I do what I do and I owe it to my evening routine. I thought It was time to share my nightly routine with others. It includes simple activities that help us build relationships, enforce boundaries, express gratitude, explore where we are mentally, most importantly… have a practical guide for setting up for a successful tomorrow.
Which is your favorite quote or chapter from the book?
My favorite chapter is Reflective Thinking. Women’s wellness is about knowing who you are and where you are in the moment. This chapter encourages the reader to take a self and introspective look at how their day went. It asks, what went right, what went wrong, and what can be done to make tomorrow better? Self-reflection is very important to me.
What was the impact of the pandemic on your life? How did you handle it?
This pandemic was the best thing that could have happened to my family and me. It forces us to stop. And in that, we learned to reconnect with one another. We are a stronger, more loving, trusting, and productive family now. We are still working, we have our health, and we are full of ideas that we would not have paid attention to otherwise.
What is your idea of a healthy relationship and marriage?
A healthy relationship and marriage both include these elements: trust, love, forgiveness, and willingness. You must be able to trust that your loved one will have your best interests at heart in all interactions. Unconditional love must be there. We are not perfect. Therefore, you must also have forgiveness. And ultimately, you must have a willingness to make things better and better with each day.
How did motherhood change your life?
Once you have carried and birthed a baby, you will never be the same. Motherhood has brought out things I never knew I had. You think you love… until you have a child, there is something so special about seeing someone live, grow, learn, love, and bloom into an amazing human. I absolutely love being a mother. It’s my gift to the world, to give back a piece of me.
How do you handle negativity and hate (if at all), both online and offline?
I personally do not deal with internet hate. The beauty of the internet is that I can choose NOT to engage and follow people that do not align with my values. Offline, I pray. I pray that the hearts of the hateful are softened and open to see and receive the love they are missing. I want them to be at peace with life and live in harmony. I turn off and tune out people that have the potential to dim my light.
- How do you define self-love? What should one do if they lack it?
I consider Self-Love to be the intentional regard for a person’s mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical wellbeing. Women’s wellness is not complete unless you can implement self-love. That looks like addressing any fears or obstacles. Just explore what they are and ways to move forward. Once you are on that path, you are practicing self-love. Also, learn to be ok with how you were created. You are supposed to be unique and not like anyone else.
What is your perspective and belief about wellness?
I think wellness isn’t a thing, but a state of being. It is being present in moments of stress and knowing how to access the tools you have to manage. It is being able to have faith in your higher power. It is the state of knowing what is going on with your body and why. It is understanding your feelings and how to process them at that moment.
- Would like to share the daily affirmations you practice?
I practice affirmations around my speaking to the masses and being able to reach people all over the world. I say affirmations about my finances, that I would be able to fund my life and have an abundance to help others. I say affirmations about my health and wellness and the ability to always be in the moment. I say affirmations around my mind and creativity. I actually call them declarations, not affirmations.
What is your definition of ‘happiness’?
Happiness is something that I talk about often. It is an ever-flowing state of acceptance of what is. At times things may not be going the way we’d like, but we can CHOOSE to be happy. It is a conscious decision to let or not let the current circumstance determine your mood about a particular situation. Happiness is a choice you can make today!
What advice would you give to the young generation reading this right now?
Today, I would tell the young readers to be good to you. Learn to know who you are and to stick to the boundaries you set around your time, money, stress tolerance level, and relationships. Learn that NO is a complete sentence and you owe no one an explanation. Be firm in your beliefs but be open to hear and understand the beliefs of others. We are always learning; accept and embrace that.
Lastly, what is your one piece of advice to every woman out there?
I would tell every woman to just live. Breathe. Love. Learn. Forgive. Be patient. Everything is already planned for us. The world was already here before we were ever placed on this earth. Our lives are going exactly as they are supposed to be going. We are to learn the lessons in every experience and live the lives we desire and deserve.
